114th.net :: 114th and Broadway
Hey, I’m Chris, a Jersey born 20 year old student currently living in the rocking city of New York. Although I currently reside on 113th and Broadway, 114th street was where I first called “home” in New York, and so it will always have a special place in my heart. 114th and Broadway is an honest attempt at a website chronicling my experiences in New York City and at college with pictures. The shots I take that actually aim to chronicle, will have some description accompanying them. The other random and casual pictures are up here just for the fun of it.
I am still very much a beginner in the world of photography, and 114th provides me with a great outlet through which I can present my shots for really anyone to critique. It also keeps up my drive to continue to go out and shoot and (hopefully) get better.
I was also struck with interest and inspiration by these various sites, so I decided to give this whole “photolog” thingy a shot

First introduced to photography as a Freshman in high school, I have experimented with photography ever since. I sold all my analog gear in favor of digital, which allows me more freedom to experiment. My current SLR is a Nikon D100 with a assortment of Nikon glass
most of the images are shot in calgary, alberta, canada. i shoot only in raw and do the conversion using breezebrowser and processed in photoshop. unlike real photographers, i spend more time in post than in setting up the shot. most of the processing involved colour correction, burning, dodging and toning. i don’t do composites.
this blog was constructed over one weekend in february 2005 using movable type software. it was based on a photoblog template tutorial from quixotic pixels. i will try to post a new photo every day or so where time permits. thanks for visiting. please tell me what you think by adding a comment — wei quek
I take pictures, all sorts of them, and quite a few too. I decided a while back to share them with others for two reasons; something for people to look at and hopefully enjoy, and to challenge myself to take better shots.
The Image Cafe is an ever evolving project for me. I hope that it has now reached a plateau in it’s design so I can concentrate more on content than coding
My name is Zach and I live in Northern California. I am not a photographer by profession — far from it! In a perfect world, I would travel around the world playing music for people. As I try my best to work out the details, I maintain a “day job” and try to remember my camera as I move from day to day. I take photos of interesting people, places, and situations as I find them, with very little post-processing. I created this scrapbook primarily as a method of backing up my photos in the event of a computer meltdown at home. I also enjoy sharing them with folks like you
my name is anne and i’m a french-speaking québécoise in exile. i currently reside in seattle where i design software. i love the outdoors and spend many a week-end exploring the nearby cascade and olympic ranges. when time permits, i like to travel to more exotic venues. many of the images on this photoblog have been taken over the course of these local and more far flung escapades. when not away from home, i try to post a new image every evening

My love affair with photography began in November ‘03 with the purchase of my first digital camera, a Canon Powershot A70. Since then, I’ve switched to a Canon 300D, and am becoming more serious about developing my skills. I started this blog as a way to motivate myself to take pictures on a regular basis, as well as a way for me to get feedback on my work from others. If you have an opinion on my photos, please don’t hesistate to leave a note. I always appreciate comments, whether they consist of praise or criticism.
In my professional life, I’m a graduate student working towards my Ph.D., and I study how people process the visual and spatial properties of their environment
Wanda Scott has been an avid photographer since 1996. She was born in British Columbia, Canada and grew up in the Central Cariboo area. Wanda has been involved with the world of art since she was a young child. Now pinhole photography is the key to expressing her artistic and creative emotions. She has always had a passion for the natural wilderness that surrounds her and is inspired by the vast beauty in and around the Cariboo area. Working with her’s and other handmade cameras, she finds each image a challenge as the process can take just seconds to hours to capture just the right image.
Her photographs are an intimate reflection of her world and her relationship to the world that surrounds her. Each pinhole photograph is totally unique. Her working method is all based on using paper negatives and she still perfers the traditional darkroom technique
Photography the way I see it!
I have a BFA in Photography from UARTS in Philadelphia, yet I make a living doing graphic & web design with my home business CobWeb Studios.
I still shoot, but haven’t shown my work in years, so I put this site together to highlight some of my favorite images. I’m in the midst of scanning all of my negatives. So this site will be randomly updated with new and old images. Feel free to post any comments or thoughts on any of the images, I love getting feedback. Thanks for checking out my site ~~ Dimitri Chrysanthopoulos

I was born in a fishing village on the coast of the Adriatic Sea and came to America to photograph life. My name is Zoran Milich. I’ve been around a lot of the world, on assignment for different media organizations, and along the way taken some personal pictures that I love.
I found that shooting candid black and white images were the ones I enjoyed best. The images on this site are not for sale, but rather for observation, inspiration

I’m a photographer - graphic designer also an visual artist from Tehran,Iran.in my photoblog I will focus on everydaylife, urban textures, moods, places, people and the events…
The person behind this photoblog is me - most Myself commonly known as Marina (also known as: MaHina, small & evil person yeah! That’s me! Some years ago I started to call myself ’small & evil’. And nearly everybody who heard it said: ‘yes! A good description for Marina’. Why? Small is easy to explain: I am 1,63 meters high which is the opposite of tall. Evil is a bit more difficult: after studying with a lot of ‘wannabe lovely people’ I started to prefer playing a different game: Be as you are and say your own opinion and no stupid stuff which you don’t think and which you only say to be a nice person! You know what I mean? , Counsellor, the peewee…).
You will find my own small (and mostly controversial) world in my photography. In this world I am running around viewing it with a 2:3 perspective and enjoying the beauty in all that I see. With your comments you can leave your footprints in my world and I am looking forward to see them!
Mute is my first attempt at using my pictures constructively, I hope it will bring some focus to my photography efforts and that others will enjoy the images. I will add new features to the site as things progress
In tropical Singapoe, the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is a public metro-like transportation service that connects the entire tiny island. Meeting people of different faces and backgrounds and alighting at different stops is like a perennial adventure each time. Mass Rapid documents the world as I see it, and sometimes we move on literally like the mass rapid, we sometimes need a picture to stop time and allow us to slow down to think about more important like issues

I started this photoblog in August of 2004 (it has undergone some major changes since then) as a centralized place for me to share my photos and articles about photographic topics and as a way to force myself to keep shooting, even if I’m feeling un-inspired. I tend to be drawn to interesting patterns, shadows, light, and abstract forms, which are all in abundance in Boston (where I lived from 1998 to early 2004) and Toronto, my hometown and current place of residence
This photoblog, where I try to post one photo a day, was made to teach myself some photography, while sharing my work with friends and the world. The inspiration for this blog came from a lot of photographers and photoblogs around the world, who love and enjoy taking pictures
RovingEye is a photo weblog of my travels, around town and around the world
Thanks for checking out by my photoblog. I call Bucks County, Pennsylvania my home and I spend a lot of time photographing it. I consider it a challenge to continuously seek out unique photo ops in an area that so many people have already scoured and photographed
This is Shattered Visions, my online photo archive. It’s a mix between a photoblog and my archives because the index page shows the most recent photo and you are able to browse my archives.
All photos are taken by me (with only one exception where I’m on the photo).
There are very few old scans from photos, most photos are taken with my HP Photosmart 612 digital camera. Everything from photo 339 on is taken with my new digital camera, the Minolta Dimage Z1.
The script was completely written by me. I had older versions where I made use of prewritten scripts.

I’m Alec, and I photograph things. Constantly. That’s the Shutter part.
I continue to experiment and learn and fail and learn some more about the mind-boggling art of photography.
That’s the Pupil part.
Along the way, I’ll share the results of that daily pursuit with you
I live in a city that totally rocks me to the depth of my soul, London.
I work in a profession that I really think is cool, and I’ve got numerous hobbies that I indulge myself in.
I have a great family and a terrific bunch of friends, most of them think I’m nuts - and I am, but pleasantly so.
I love to travel, take photographs and make shit loads of money to support my habits.
Can I wake up now?
My name is Reza Ghaeli. The photographs you see here are the results of my desperate efforts to fulfill my passion that I have had since I was 10 yrs old. I am originally from Iran, and currently living in Vancouver Canada. By education, I am a researcher/engineer. It’s a long story why I chose that path.
Solid Moments is the collection of some of my photographs. I decided to start it after inspired by Sam Javanrouh who had developed [daily dose of imagery]. I think this is a great motivation for me to take more pictures and hopefully get feedback from others. Official day of starting this photoblog is July 10th, 2004. However, I may put older pictures that I think is appropriate
The attic is a place for miscellaneous photos and flash projects by a photographer out of Seattle, Washington. It consists of travel photos and an exploration of dogs, humans, nature, and human nature
This site is part a creative outlet, part informative repository but, undeniably, wholly about ego (show me a blog that isn’t). I’ve been taking photos since I was a teenager and photography is a hobby that keeps pulling me back. Inspired by an article on self-assignments and discovering PAW (picture a week) photographers as a result, it was a small step to photo(b)logs.
A photoblog is a blog whose content is predominantly made up of images rather than text. Some photobloggers religiously post images daily. I am less disciplined and only post images when inspired to do so; sometimes daily but more commonly once or twice a week. I have enough of deadlines in my professional life and don’t want to become a slave to my blog
Purpose:
To take pictures of the beautiful things I see every day, and to hopefully capture some of the beauty out there. God has made so many wonderful things, its a privilege to be able to take pictures of it. Put simply, I love photography, and I love the beauty of nature and the outdoors

I am Kayt de Fever, a freelance graphic designer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was born and raised in Detroit and there’s no doubt this instilled in me a love of industrial landscapes and good Polish food. I graduated with a degree in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City. I feel lucky to have refined my tastes for (real) bagels and (fake) designer handbags in The Big Apple before making Northern California my home in 1998

daily dose of imagery is a simple view of my day to day visual experience. You can simply call it my photoblog. I post one photo a day on this web site. It could be untouched or altered. I started this experimental project as a visual practice.
You can leave comments on my images, and for a brief technical detail of each photo, leave your mouse pointer on images for a few seconds
I have no idea what I am doing half the time but I carry at least one of my cameras with me always, it has become like another appendage, an extension of my hand and eye. I have a lot to learn and everyday I learn a little bit more. I wish that I could go back to school and take classes devoted to the art of photography but that is not an option for me at this point so I scour photoblogs for photos that inspire and there is plenty of inspiration to be found. I carry home books from the library on the history of photography, techniques, thoughts of art and beauty and collections of amazing photographers. I click on links that others have thoughtfully included and generally am dazed these days by everything around me

I’m an amateur photographer from Ireland, now living in Prato, Italy. Photography has been a big interest of mine for many years.

it’s all about love, life, live, in beautiful Malaysia….
I started out with 35mm film technique back in about 1981 when I was doing school yearbook publishing. I cut my teeth on a Pentax K1000 SE which I still have - moved to digital in the mid to late 1990’s. I’m a composer at heart, but satisfying one’s creative urge via the creation of music has a bit of a delayed gratification: it’s easy to hear the orchestra in your head, but rounding up live players to do your musical bidding is a bit, well…pricey. Lately, I’ve found more immediate satisfaction in attempting to express myself through visual media and it allows me to feed the creative urge with relative abandon. Hence this photoblog. As an educational medium, a photoblog has great potential as a visual means to aid other photographers in learning their craft by the sharing of workflow techniques and general technical info in addition to leading by example - as a form of visual entertainment, there are few pursuits more immediately rewarding than viewing the creative fruits produced by the many and diverse members of this growing global community. I endeavor to meet demands both educational and entertaining through my creative pursuits here. And I think that’s about enough for one popup window…back to the pictures
photography is a hobby [strike that] passion. this is a collection of what i think is some of my best work so far - but it remains as a way to document my life and learn photography on the way… more than anything, it serves as a motivation for me to take more photos and push myself artistically. i have a lot yet to learn… my other loves/hobbies are djing, collecting records, cars and developing web coding technologies like php, mySQL and other geeky stuff. in my real life i work as a software engineer
Nearly every day, I add a new image to this photoblog. I would like these images to represent how I am feeling on any particular day, but mostly the images convey my evolving photographic sensibility and whatever happens to be in front of my face

Not Reality is a photoblog.
The name refers to the artist René Magritte and his “Use of Words” (both the title of one of his most famous images and a literal description of his use of language and words in his artwork) In Magritte’s painting “The Use of Words” he has painted a realistic pipe, below which are the words “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” (This is not a pipe) Of course this is a statement of fact. René Magritte’s painting - The Use of WordsIt is not a pipe, but a visual representation of a pipe. So too, these photographs are not reality, but a photographic representation of my particular reality, what I see through my camera, and what I choose to photograph

I love photography. It has always been a passion of mine. It let\’s you see the world in a whole new perspective. I think my interest started when my brother started taking photos. The photos that he took always look so amazing to me. Whenever I tried, my photographs would look so bland and boring. Then, during my junior year in high school [March 2002], I bought a Canon S30 hoping that being able to shoot digital will give me more freedom. Man, what a great purchase. And that was the start of my photographic life
about photoflavor: it’s a continually expanding and evolving collection of photos. you may notice a florida vibe going on. that’s because i live in florida. the most recent image will always be first, and you can travel back through them chronologically. some will be largely unprocessed, giving you a very accurate representation of what i was looking at when i took the shot. others will be heavily processed… because it’s fun

My name is Matt, 19, and I thought I make this site because I want to share my photos with everybody. I am currently in college in the state of Washington. Come and take a peek into my world
I was given a camera when I started university, which I started using more and more as time went on. I decided to start putting pictures online because some people liked them and it was a good way to remember things.
In early March 2004, I dropped that little camera on the ground and it became operationally impaired. He was post-humously named Joseph. I then bought Canon G5, which is my current camera.
This photoblog has been run with three or four different systems and had the same number of horrid looking designs
this is me walking around toronto and elsewhere, taking pictures of whatever catches my eye, and trying to keep busy as a photographer. i started this site in march 2004. mostly everything here was posted within a few days of taking the shot, but sometimes i just post random things from the past, or stuff from a roll of film that i find behind the peanut butter
